The Florida Freeshafters Spearfishing Club is a group of like minded persons that enjoy spearfishing and the camaraderie of competing in local spearfishing tournaments and events.
Our club meets the first Wednesday each month. Even though our meetings are not open to the general public we do host numerous social events throughout the year with which the public is welcome to participate.

Description
The Florida Freeshafters Spearfishing Club (FFSC) and JJ.Taylor/Obrien’s Pub will co-host a Spearfishing Tournament based out of Obrien’s Pub in Brandon every 3rd weekend in May. This exciting community event has a strong commitment to the diving, fishing, and marine industries. Tournament proceeds support and benefit programs conducted by the Florida Freeshafters Spearfishing Club, and its charitable affiliates. Our goal remains to produce a fun, family oriented weekend tournament that creates positive exposure for the local diving and spearfishing community, and stimulates the businesses that rely on them.
